You can attempt this if you wish, but we have professional cleaning companies at our disposal and they will be able to do this for you. There may be some health implications in cleaning some items if the water has been contaminated so please be careful and put the health of you and your family first.
Yes – if it is safe to do so and it prevents further loss – we recommend that if further floods are anticipated that you move some of your most precious and sentimental items out of the property or to a higher level within your home.
At Lloyds TSB Insurance our policy covers the cost of alternative accommodation. We will also consider any additional costs, but these will require prior agreement from ourselves – so if you are a customer and would like further information please do contact us.
This will vary depending upon the scale of the loss and severity of the damage to your home, the time taken to dry the property and complete the repairs. But please be assured that we are doing everything we can to get you back home as quickly as possible.
